technology
Science is how humans understand the world around us, and technology is how we use that knowledge to shape the world to our liking. It’s amazing what our ancestors and contemporaries have been able to create, enabling each of us to accomplish so much more. One of my favorite explanations of human progress comes from Alfred North Whitehead, who said, “Civilization advances by extending the number of important operations which we can perform without thinking about them.” While technology also includes tools that require a great deal of thought, the growth of automation and artificial intelligence promise to advance civilization at an even faster rate.
In this section, I’ll be writing about all things technology, including engineering, autonomous vehicles and other robotics, space exploration, and drug delivery systems.
